2 Steps to Supercharging Your Productivity and Scaling Your Business in a BIG Way

If you’re serious about growing (or scaling) your company, then chances are, you’ve asked yourself:

  • How can I be more productive?
  • How can I get more done?
  • How can I do more, so I can scale my business faster?

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard: “Shanda, how do you do it all?”

Yes, I have a baby. I work from home. I am married.

I’m physically fit. And I make millions of dollars a year.

People often come to me and say, “I always read your content on Instagram and Facebook, and you’re sharing all of these great insights. You’re doing events and your company is making 1.4 million dollars in three days! How do you possibly do it all?

I’ve even had someone ask, “Is this fake, or are you real?”

It’s real. I’m real. And the work I’ve done to get to this point is real!

The truth is, it absolutely takes a LOT of hard work for anyone to be able to grow a business.

But it’s not as simple as working hard!

The speed with which you scale your business comes down to one thing:

Priorities.

The fastest way to grow and scale your business is to focus on the most productive thing you can right now, and take the rest of it off your plate.

When you’re trying to do a million things at once—for example, you’re employing a dozen different marketing strategies to see which one works—then your efforts (and your results) are scattered.

On the other hand, when your time, energy, and resources are focused on the one or two activities that best grow your business, then your efforts will pay off in terms of bigger and better results.

That being said, here is a powerful two-step process for deciding where your priorities should be so that when you do expend those resources, you get results!

Step 1. Get clear on the one thing that is causing you the most pain in growing your business. That’s an indicator of where you need to focus your resources. When you close that gap, you’ll scale and grow your business.

Step 2. Get clear on where you become unproductive—what you do instead of sticking to your plan. This is usually a go-to habit. For example, let’s say you plan to get up at 5 a.m. to go to the gym every day. Only, when your alarm goes off, you go back to bed. You say—and truly believe—that going to the gym and getting fit is your priority, but when it comes down to taking action, you make sleeping a priority. In my experience, people choose a less-confronting priority (in this case, sleep) because it feels safer. But long term, they feel worse about their life, and they lose confidence. So you’ve got to nip this habit in the bud—because it’s stopping you from reaching your ultimate vision.

You dont need another book on confidence or productivity. Keep your ideas to yourself and focus your resources on the two areas above.

So, just to recap:

Get clear on your greatest pain, and work toward closing that gap.

Then, get clear on where you’re choosing something else over productivity, and nip this habit in the bud.

Choose productivity instead. Choose your ultimate vision!

This exercise helps me—and it will help you—to stay stronger in your vision and choose the priority that will help you scale your company.

I’m constantly assessing and reassessing my priorities and how they align with where I’m putting my resources, and this is how I’m able to get so much done!

I hope this helps!
