Holy Crap cereal – This is brilliant

Holy Crap: Brilliant Marketing

Holycrap1

I was vacationing in Vancouver Canada, and being a bit of a marketing addict, I couldn’t help but notice this cereal called “Holy Crap”!

I first noticed the oversized, obnoxious stands all over the grocery store with Holy Crap staring me straight in the face.  Then, when I was in my taxi on the way to the airport to come home to California, there it was again.  So I did what any girl would do.  I asked my driver if he’d tried Holy Crap.

Holycrap2He laughed and said, “Yes, it’s really good!”

Besides the funny name, we can learn a lot from this brand.

How many times have you had a great idea and didn’t go for it?

Then you see someone else who’s created a business with it?

The second thing that came to mind was how often we hold back because we don’t want to offend anyone.

I bet the guy that created HOLY CRAP takes big risks.  He has probably lost his shirt a few times but never gave up on his dream.

Here’s what I want you to take away from today’s message.

Notice Holy Crap’s marketing:

#1 The name is exactly what you say in your head when something is FANTASTIC. It has an element of being pleasantly surprised.

#2 They claim to be "The World’s Most Amazing Breakfast Cereal."  Who knows if they are, but that kind of confidence creates more consumer confidence. And that results in more sales.

#3 Their cereal is GOOD, so it delivers on its promise to thrill your taste buds.

So how can you use this information?

  • Get behind your dream business idea and get a little edgier.
  • Take whatever risks you have to in order to market and brand your business.
  • Deliver on quality, or at least make things right when you make a mistake.
  • Forget about your past failures because that is a sure way of not risking more to get more!

Stop fear from running your life starting today, and build a business that makes a difference for people!

Much Love,

Shanda

P.S. Seriously… GO FOR IT today!
