How To Be The Driver of Lasting Change

How do we move towards our goals to create lasting change?

If you missed my Facebook LIVE where I give you the exact tools and strategies I used to commit to my vision and take a stand for lasting change, watch below or read on!

It’s great when we get clear on our commitment and we feel like we’re going to hit our mark and create the lasting change that we’re after.

No matter where our great intentions lie – to make a positive change in our marriage, our business, or the world it requires us to take a stand and make a commitment to that stand.

Too often we try and go after lasting change that is based on something meaningful to us – completely alone!

And then the real challenge is when we actually do set up our goals …and then something happens!

For example, a breakdown, or global event or something in our communities like we’re seeing with the George Floyd movement.

What happens when we find ourselves apologizing to someone we love or our community, or we simply just put our foot in our mouth, and upheaval takes center stage?

Honestly, it happens.

We’re all human and we have to make some space for new awareness to come up. Because you can’t make a change if you’re now aware of it!

We may have the best intentions here on the planet (if you’re following me, I know it’s not just to make a lot of money – I know you have a vision to change the world with your business)

But when change is weathered either in your personal life, or out in the world and it impacts you, and you don’t end up meeting your goal.

Let’s get real – a lot of people are fighting for lasting change right now. The reality is that we can’t reach this change alone!

You’re Not Suppose to Stand Alone

If you’ve been with me for a while, you know I started my commitment to doing a daily morning Facebook Live at 6 am – 3 years ago. I didn’t just put it in a journal or write it down and hope that I was going to show up for you.

Do you wanna know why? Because I’m human! I get tired, I get inconsistent feelings, I know that some days I’m not going to feel like it.

So, I actually made this goal a public commitment with you, and with my internal team here at HeartCore Business. That way, if I didn’t show up people could see that I was breaking my word.

I share this with you because as we’re going through this time in the world, I am asking you,

What’s your commitment? How are you going to put a plan behind your commitment and follow through?

When you have something that’s meaningful to you, you absolutely have to put a bigger structure around it so that the structure is actually bigger than you.

Things are going to happen, and you’re never going to make everyone happy, but the way that you lead really matters.

Again, emotions are unpredictable! You know this and I know it. But the only way you can take a real stand is if it’s lasting.

To be perfectly honest with you, I never choose to be a CEO or to start my company. I started this company because I drove down the street and heard an audible voice of the Lord speaking to me, telling me to start this company. I have never achieved a goal in my entire life with my own willpower, it’s been achieved by a team of people around me.

Every great athlete knows this. Every great successful human being knows this.

Moving forward, you get to look at what your vision is, why it’s really important to you, and to take a real stand and commit to it fully by holding yourself accountable.

Here’s what I’m asking you to do:

  • First, look at what your vision is. What is your stand in your business, what is your stand on what’s going on in the world?
  • Second, what is your commitment to? Are you going to commit to changing?
  • Next, are you ready to speak up and take your stand? Are you committed to making sure your voice is loud on that part?

The truth is that in order to create change in the world you have got to enroll everybody around you, so that enough people hear you, and get on the same commitment as you.

Millions of people will disagree with you. But that’s part of the game of getting millions of people who do agree with you!

You’re not meant to do this alone! No one is. If you’re one of those people who is committed to lasting change – I just want to tell you this…create a plan and keep leaning in!

The 30, 60, and 90 Day Plan

This is the plan I’ve used successfully to lean into my own vision, my stand, and my commitments to creating lasting change in the world.

It’s the 30, 60, and 90 plan from my good friend, (and confidante to some of the biggest influencers on the planet right now), Randy Garn!

I’m now sharing it with YOU, to help you manage your KPI’s.

KPIs are really just your main goals, the most meaningful goals that you actually want to create; and hopefully one of them is a stand for what’s going on in the world today.

The 30, 60, and 90 day plan has been a game-changer for me. In fact, I actually make really important business decisions based on whether or not the goals of this plan are being met!

Here Are the 3 Steps To Planning for & Creating Lasting Change!

  1.  Outline your major activities and your expected outcomes for the next 30, 60, and 90 days. These are your goals or KPI’s!
  2.  Next, review your progress at each mark. Did you meet your goals at 30, 60, and 90 days? You can make major decisions in your business based on whether or not these goals are being met.
  3.  Allow other people to hold you accountable to your 30, 60, and 90 plan.  You absolutely have to hold yourself accountable for what you say you’re going to do.

Remember, if you’re not hitting the marks, how can you expect anyone else to trust you and follow you?

At the end of the day here, what I’m asking you to consider is how can you create content in a way that’s not only educational, but also in a way in which it can be consumed, and in a way that it creates results. If you want millions of people backing you up, you have to have follow-through.

This doesn’t happen in one single LIVE, or on one webinar, and it doesn’t happen in one week. It can happen over months and even years!

So, please don’t just build out your commitments around hopes and dreams. Build your commitments out on very clear, trackable KPIs and create a real plan that can track whether or not you’re creating the real change, the real result that you want to see in the next 30, 60, and 90 days.

Remember, leaders aren’t supposed to lead on their own! Get clarity, create the plan, and the support system and accountability network to set yourself up for unstoppable success!

Hope you have a great week.

Love,
Shanda
